Year 11.
Its underlined, even bolded.
What do you think of when it comes to the word 'Year 11'?.
NCEA? 80 credits? Not Achieved? Achieved? Merit? Excellence? what about... Exams, Internals and Externals?
It's currently the 6th of November; Exam month.
A whole lot of Year 11 students are on their first study leave. But on my perspective, they're either at the beach or making plans with friends. It hasn't hit us it yet; the realisation of being on study leave.
Our holiday isn't here for us yet. Y E T
I entered 2019 as a Year 11 student, excited that I have 2 more years left of high school; yay. But 2019 also came with Internals, Mid-term exams and trying to at least achieve 80 credits by the end of the year. Year 11 put a lot of stress and pressure onto me, trying to reach the standards of my teacher's expectations. Was I prepared? Absolutely not. But I endured it and gotten used it.
TIP: make sure you befriend your teachers.
You didn't hear it from me.
As it is coming to the end of the year for me, I at least achieve 71 credits. Close. Now it all depends on my exams whether I passed NCEA Level 1.
During this year, I joined a lot of groups. It helped me to have more confidence within myself, it gave me a sense of achievement and it also gave me the pathway onto being a leader to represent my school. Tamaki College. Joining groups also helps you expand your friendship circle, although they say to keep your circle small. But this helps you to become more familiar with meeting new people and this also boosts your confidence.
Yeat 11 comes with ups and downs but it's something that you can look back at and start being proud of yourself. This allows you to know what to do in certain situations and being mature about it.
Year 11 is just the start of everything.
This blog is a record of my learning from Panmure Bridge Primary School through to Tamaki College.

Mid-year exams
Mid-Term Exams...
This week, our Mid-term exams was held. Our exams covered Science, English, Maths & Social Studies. Within those topics, I was prepared, even though I stuck half-way through, I still managed to recall some of my notes when I studied. Some were easy, but it wasn't what I was expecting. Some of my exams went well, because it goes to show that my studying has finally paid off. The thing that I can work on next time, is my time and self managing my self. I need to work hard next time when it comes to exams.

Sitting my Mid Year Exams.
Sitting my Mid Year Exams:
Some of my exams were pretty much easy like English, Science and most likely Social Studies. Maths i was kind of expecting a lil bit, but other than that I was prepared. My maths I didn’t study that much, and I wasn’t ready. Sitting my exams for 2 hours, I was expecting that, but the main thing I finished early. I was excited for these exams just to get it over and done with. Like I said, it was pretty easy and I was prepared and I expected it to happen.
For my Social Studies I had to write about my mid year exams. Here's a paragraph about how I felt during my exams and how it went.

So what every thing that I leave on social media is left on my digital footsteps. The reactions are used on Facebook to reacted on posts that my friends make. The You-tube logo are for the videos that I watch on YouTube. The TFC logo is what I watch on there like Filipino's movies and that what makes me want to learn their beautiful language. The Google Drive logo is what I do my school work and what I can finish off. The Facebook logo is what I go on almost everyday just to keep up with the new.

Tahuna Torea
Yesterday at lunchtime we went to have lunch at Tahuna Torea. Once we got there we had lunch, everyone was having fun. Why we went to Tahuna Torea? because its linked to our topic for reading we are learning about Godwits. First we explored was the beach where the Godwits come after that we waited until it was our turned to explored the wet lands where the Godwits find there food. LS2 learnt a lot and where Godwit's migrate. Godwits migrate from New Zealand to Alaska that would take them 8 days to get there but they would need to go to Australia than Japan then Alaska. So they are really fast to fly to Alaska. It was really interesting learning about the Godwit and where they Migrate.

Yr 8 Hocky
Yr 8's Hockey
Today, the Yr 8's had a lesson of hockey, which was held in our school hall. Our instructor was Mel and she taught us some valuable things. At the start of our lesson we had a game of Octopus which someone had to be tagger and the tagger had to call a category of what the person has. They gave us each an hockey stick and a ball each. After that, they gave us an activity where, they call out a traffic light which was Green - for dribbling, Orange - stop but just keep on dribbling, Red - stop, Purple - Reverse, Silver - Speeding your dribbling, Blue - Dribbling in circles. After that, we were split into 2 teams and whoever calls a number, a number of people has to play hockey against the other team. We had a wonderful time playing hockey and having new things being learnt.

Smart Searching Challenge - Cecillia, Breeana & June
Cecilla, Breeana and myself colborated together to make this DLO. This DLO is based on what we researched on and what we wanted to know about our subject. We found interesting things about Volleyball. and they were pretty impressing. My favourite part of this challenge was when we had to generate a letter from a website and that part was funny.
